Russian min says satisfied with Bashneft sale ideas by VTB Cap
MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- VTB Capital, the consultant of privatization of Russian oil company Bashneft, has submitted a good scheme of the deal, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said during a meeting with the Federal State Property Management Agency on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, business daily Vedomosti reported, citing Director of the agency Dmitry Pristanskov that the government would like to sell Bashneft to one or several strategic investors rather than on the market but wants to hear ideas of VTB Capital first.
“We are working on Bashneft very actively. Our consultants have proposed a really A-rate layout of the deal,” Ulyukayev said.
A representative of Lukoil, one of the contenders for Bashneft, told PRIME that it had confirmed its participation in the deal.
